It\u2019s fun for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Says Patrick Wilson, who returns as Josh Lambert in his directorial debut Insidious: The Red Door, which brings the Lambert family\u2019s terrifying saga to an epic conclusion.<\/p>\n<p>The final chapter of the blockbuster horror franchise opens exclusively in cinemas July 5.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rIslMRneXlM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the film, the horror franchise\u2019s original cast, including Wilson, Ty Simpkins and Rose Byrne, returns. He travels into another dimension and has to fight a demon! It can go as crazy as you want it to, if you start from a place of real emotion. That\u2019s what I love about this business, and what I love about directors. There are so many ways to get your film made. So my goal was to capitalize on my strengths, what excites me, what interests me, what I\u2019m passionate about. I don\u2019t quite know my style \u2013 I think I\u2019m still finding my own style. I\u2019m not so bold to think I\u2019ve figured it out. I\u2019m learning \u2013 I\u2019m in a constant state of learning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPatrick had a very strong vision for the film, and knew the direction of where he wanted to take this Lambert family saga,\u201d says producer James Wan, who was also Wilson\u2019s director in the first two Insidious films, as well as in Conjuring and Aquaman.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat made me really excited, since he\u2019d be returning to play the character he played in the first two films. He\u2019s building on the world we had created together whilst adding his own take to it.
