{"id":250838,"date":"2023-06-27T11:04:14","date_gmt":"2023-06-27T03:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diplomatic-fuchsia-armadillo.46-250-226-234.cpanel.site\/?p=250838"},"modified":"2023-07-27T16:38:54","modified_gmt":"2023-07-27T08:38:54","slug":"cbre-conducts-its-first-pride-forum-breaking-stereotypes-on-corporate-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diplomatic-fuchsia-armadillo.46-250-226-234.cpanel.site\/?p=250838","title":{"rendered":"CBRE Conducts Its First Pride Forum, Breaking Stereotypes On Corporate World"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Commercial real estate service CBRE celebrated Pride Month by tackling the challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community in the workplace.<\/p>\n<p>On June 26, the company launched the forum titled &#8220;Flying Colors: A Forum on LGBTQIA+ Representation in the Corporate World.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The forum highlighted the lives of corporate trailblazers who are LGBTQIA+ members to empower the rest of their community to take up space in the corporate world.<\/p>\n<p>It also raised awareness about the real situation that the LGBTQIA+ community faces and how they can possibly overcome discrimination and prejudice as part of the industry.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-218756\" src=\"https:\/\/pageone.zyndk8.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/CBRE-1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of the speakers, Iya Antonion, highlighted that she became more open to her true personality and continued to pursue her goals despite the perception of society.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t really care about what others say about me \u2018cause I know that I\u2019m not doing anything wrong,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-218757\" src=\"https:\/\/pageone.zyndk8.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/CBRE-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1174\" height=\"783\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This was then supported by businessman Jericho Go, who is a parent to a transwoman, who added that support really matters to the queer community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always the love of a parent. We don\u2019t want our child to be bullied,\u201d he pointed out. \u201cI basically said [to my child], I accept who you are. I love you because you\u2019re our child,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Following the stance that members of the LGBTQIA+ community are currently facing in the corporate world, a speaker also highlighted the essence of showing one\u2019s capability to combat discrimination.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-218758\" src=\"https:\/\/pageone.zyndk8.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/CBRE-3.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1174\" height=\"783\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are a combination of so many different things and not just your gender.
