TV host-actor Butch Francisco and film preservation advocate Leo Katigbak have disclosed their respective bets for the Top 10 Filipino Best Actresses of the Modern Era in the premiere episode of \u201cBest 10 Bets,<\/a>\u201d FYE Channel\u2019s new showbiz talk show that is now streaming on YouTube.<\/p>\n

The list includes 10 of Butch\u2019s picks and Leo\u2019s own favorites who have made a mark on television and cinemas from 2000 onwards as the show looks back on local showbiz\u2019s memorable talents, films, shows, and more.<\/p>\n

On top of Butch\u2019s list is Nadine Lustre whom the veteran entertainment journalist described as \u201cwalang ka-inhi-inhibition sa katawan tapos yung features niya parang belong na belong sa community. She\u2019s able to blend in, parang chameleon. Tapos nanalo siyang Urian at marami siyang awards.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Leo chose Kathryn Bernardo as his top pick. \u201cWhen Kathryn did \u2018A Very Good Girl,\u2019 she set herself at a higher bar than everybody else because she was willing to push herself to a new level,\u201d said the ABS-CBN Film Restoration head.<\/p>\n

Butch also shared his two cents on the list they came up with. He said, \u201cMay mga bagong sibol dito na sana kung may maipapayo ako bilang nakatatanda–huwag kayong masyadong maging conscious dahil nakilala kayong bigla. Kung anuman kayo ngayon, mag-improve kayo ng craft ninyo pero physically keep it that way.\u201d <\/p>\n

In the show\u2019s next episode out this Saturday (Jan. 13), Butch and Leo will respectively name their bets for the Top 10 Love Teams of All Time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a show where we\u2019ll have fun to discuss our picks,\u201d teased Leo, noting that their bets are personal to them and are subject to a healthy discussion. \u201cMy list is personal, it\u2019s based on the perspective that I have and the projects I have seen,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n
