Millennial Pop Princess Janah Zaplan delivers another empowering statement in her latest single \u201cI LUV U<\/a>,\u201d which is dropping on streaming platforms this Friday (February 9).<\/p>\n

The pop track is about deciding to choose oneself and prioritize one\u2019s well-being after being part of \u201ca relationship marked by weariness and complacency.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said, \u201cThrough soulful melodies and honest lyrics, it speaks to anyone finding the courage to break free from familiar cycles and embrace their own happiness. Gaya nga nang sabi sa lyrics, \u2018This time, I choose to love me over you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Janah shared that she chose to record the single because she felt an instant connection upon listening to it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it might be another typical love song, but upon listening closely, I was struck by its unexpected twist and profound message. It spoke directly to my heart. I felt an immediate connection and knew that this song had to be a part of me,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI LUV U\u201d was composed by Angelica Tagadtad and produced by StarPop label head Roque \u201cRox\u201d Santos.<\/p>\n

Janah is one of the rising acts under ABS-CBN Music who is also juggling her time as a student pilot. She was named Best New Female Solo Artist at the PPop Awards 2023.<\/p>\n
