Enrique Gil opens up about exploring uncharted territories and how his comedy film \u201cI Am Not Big Bird\u201d became the perfect project for his acting comeback in the digital cover of Metro Man<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After taking some time away from the spotlight, Enrique revealed that he had worries about his comeback but still pushed himself to take risks and show off his range as an actor.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s also okay to be scared and take chances sometimes \u2019cause you know, I was playing safe and sometimes it gets a little boring. So sabi ko sa sarili ko, \u2018how are you going to take a different route?\u2019 Hopefully, the artists will get inspired and would want to venture out into different things,\u201d he said in his exclusive Metro Man feature<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As an avid comedy fan, Enrique<\/a> was eager to portray the role of Luis Carpio in \u201cI Am Not Big Bird\u201d which is different from his well-known leading man roles.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018I Am Not Big Bird\u2019 just reminded me of Hangover and all these movies that I love watching, kasi mahilig ako sa comedy. In my wildest dreams, I would never imagine that a film like this would be coming out to the viewers here, but we took a chance. We did it and I\u2019m super happy and proud that we did. I\u2019m just happy that I got to do a full-blown comedy that I\u2019ve always wanted to do,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n

The Kapamilya actor is not afraid of failure as he continues to aim for bigger, bolder, and better projects.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cBack then, I was like, \u2018No, I don\u2019t think this is going to happen.\u2019 Parang it felt so out-of-the-box or out of me but then, realizing it, \u2018No, that\u2019s really me, e.\u2019 So I\u2019m just doing what I want to do and hopefully, people will enjoy it and are happy about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
