Kapamilya artist Anji Salvacion shines with a message of bravery and resilience in her new EP \u201cGRIT<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The EP, released under ABS-CBN Music\u2019s StarPop record label, contains six tracks that heavily revolves around the themes of confidence, empowerment, love, and letting go.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018GRIT\u2019 refers to having an unbreakable or indomitable spirit. Being brave enough to take chances in life, being strong and resilient enough to learn from one’s mistakes without losing sight of the importance of being an authentic person with humility and integrity, and lastly, having tenacity\u2014the determination to pursue one’s goals no matter what,\u201d Anji said.<\/p>\n

The key track \u201cYou Didn\u2019t\u201d shows how people can have no hurtful feelings and be able to live on amid a breakup. It was composed by Trisha Denise and produced by StarPop label head Roque \u201cRox\u201d Santos. The music video shows Anji in her full on pop star era which is directed by renowned Filipina drag queen Marina Summers.<\/p>\n

Other tracks in the EP are \u201cHappy\u201d composed by Lian Dyogi, \u201cJust Stay\u201d composed by SAB and C-Tru, \u201cMasterpiece\u201d composed by SAB, \u201cDon\u2019t Lie 2 Me\u201d composed by Kio Priest, and a remix version of \u201cParaiso\u201d composed by Alex Gordeev, Anne Marie Ala. The mini album was over-all produced by StarPop label head Roque \u201cRox\u201d Santos.<\/p>\n

Anji was first introduced to the public after she joined the first season of \u201cIdol Philippines\u201d in 2019. Her first big break came in 2022 after winning the \u201cPinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10\u201d where she became known as the \u201csinging sweetheart ng Siargao.\u201d She entered the music scene with various soundtracks including \u201cBuo\u201d from \u201cMarry Me, Marry You,\u201d \u201cKeeps on Coming Back\u201d from \u201cUnloving You,\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Be Afraid\u201d from \u201cMy Sunset Girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

She previously released her debut EP \u201cKasingkasing Dalampasigan\u201d which contains self-penned tracks and spawned the single \u201cDalampasigan\u201d that has amassed over two million streams across different platforms. Last year, she delved into a bright and pop sound with her single \u201cParaiso\u201d which has more than one million streams on Spotify.<\/p>\n
